United States Congress banned the slave trade

On this day March 2nd 1807 the United States Congress banned the slave trade. 210 years ago we were considered 3/5 human and traded as chattel like cattle. Some 60 years after that on this day March 2, 1867 Howard University was founded. That same year Johnson C. Smith, St. Augustine’s and Morgan State University were founded, proving the words of Dr. Maya Angelou, “No sun outlast its sunset but will rise again and bring the dawn.”… This has been a Breath Of My Ancestors Minute with Ty Gray-EL…we must never forget
