Garrett A. Morgan

On this day March 4, 1877 Garrett A. Morgan was born and I wonder how many people are aware (black or white) that everytime you go through a traffic light you have a black man to thank. We also need to thank him for improving the sewing machine and inventing the gas mask. The International Association of Fire Chiefs awarded him a gold medal for his Safety Hood Device which saved the lives of thousands of firefighters. America owes a debt of gratitude to Garrett Agustus Morgan…this has been a Breath Of My Ancestors minute w/Ty Gray-EL…we must never forget.
